Bringing Hope and Better Vision to Underprivileged Communities Through Free Eye Care Services
Alhamdulillah! WeCareBD Foundation is pleased to share the successful completion of a free eye care camp at Mohir Uddin Shah Hafezia Orphanage Madrasa. This humanitarian initiative was organized with the financial support of WeCareBD Foundation and in collaboration with GUK Eye Hospital, aiming to provide essential eye care services to underprivileged and economically disadvantaged people.
Access to proper eye care remains a significant challenge for many people, particularly those who cannot afford medical consultations, treatment, or surgery. Through this initiative, we sought to bring essential eye care services closer to the community and help individuals regain their vision and improve their quality of life.
Services Provided
During the camp, more than 200 patients received eye examinations, medical consultations, and necessary guidance from healthcare professionals.
The key services included:
- Eye Examinations and Consultations: More than 200 patients received eye check-ups and professional medical advice.
- Free Cataract Surgery: 38 patients diagnosed with cataracts were selected for free surgical treatment.
- Free Distribution of Medicines and Glasses: Essential medicines and eyeglasses were distributed among patients from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds.
A Step Towards a Healthier Community
For many people, access to timely eye care can make a life-changing difference. Restoring someone’s vision is not simply a medical achievement; it is an opportunity to help them regain independence, confidence, and a better quality of life.
We are grateful to have contributed to this meaningful humanitarian initiative. We sincerely appreciate GAK Eye Hospital, the dedicated healthcare professionals, volunteers, organizers, and everyone who supported this initiative through their financial, technical, and voluntary contributions.
Our Commitment
At WeCareBD Foundation, we believe that access to essential healthcare should not be limited by financial circumstances. We remain committed to supporting underserved communities through meaningful healthcare initiatives and community-driven development programs.
Together, we can make a difference—one life, one family, and one community at a time.
Alhamdulillah for the opportunity to serve humanity.
